LOCALLY SOURCED EXCELLENCE

Cairns-based Little Tuna catches their tuna locally from waters internationally renowned as some of the most prolific fishing grounds in the world. We are proud to exclusively sell Australian-caught preserved tuna. The high-end canned tuna products were created by the Lamason family, Rowan and Kate, who spent years researching and developing recipes. Their passion for fresh, sustainably caught Australian seafood and high-quality ingredients is the foundation of Little Tuna.

THE LAMASON FAMILY LEGACY

With over 30 years in the fishing industry, Rowan saw an opening in the market after years of fishing for tuna in the Coral Sea’s billfish fishery. His love for the ocean and a healthy lifestyle laid the foundations for the Little Tuna brand. Together with Kate, they have crafted a product that reflects their commitment to quality and sustainability.

OUR PREMIUM PRODUCTS

Little Tuna offers a boutique product that will change your perspective on preserved seafood. Using only albacore tuna, known for its whiter flesh, our products are made with the finest oils, ensuring a delicious and flavorful experience. Perfect for salads, sandwiches, wraps, pasta dishes, or straight from the jar, our mission is to bring high-quality, sustainably caught Australian seafood to health-conscious and ethical consumers.

Little Tuna is the brainchild of Kate Lamason, Cairns local, Mum of three and enthusiastic accountant. She believes sustainability and community should be the heart of every business and is passionate about applying this to her Australian Seafood companies.

When she doesn’t have her head in the books, you can find her enjoying a wine, sweating it out at the gym, or her favourite place of all – out on the ocean with husband Rowan and 3 kids.
